The Ross Bay Cemetery is 3 houses down and across the street from our house. It is one of the most beautiful cemeteries I've ever been in. I really love cemeteries. I think they are peaceful, serene, a place to think and pray and reflect. We lived close to a cemetery in Lethbridge, too, and I often took walks there.
Ross Bay Cemetery is very historic, and I love reading the names and the dates on the stones. We walk through this cemetery to get to "our beach" and it has become a bit of a play place for Ethan. He loves jumping off the sides of the graves, which are almost all surrounded by stone, as you can see in the pictures in the website above. There are also many crypts, and I just have to laugh as Ethan approaches the doors of them and calls out, "Is anybody there??" He's so funny. He really has no idea what a cemetery is, and that's okay. It is just such a pretty place to walk through and to enjoy. I'm so glad we live so close to this beautiful historic site.
