Last week and this week, Ethan has been participating in VBS, Vacation Bible School, which is a half-day "camp" that various churches put on in the summer. Last week was at my parents' church, this week at my sister's. Great programs! Ethan loves it! I'm so glad he's going.
BUT, oh my goodness, these early mornings are killing me. It's not that we're not usually awake early. I have early birds for children, but being up, getting ready, getting out the door ON TIME? I just know myself too well. I can do this for two weeks. If I had to do it all year? I'd want to shoot myself.
So, major kudos to the parents who do it all year, every year. AND make lunches! Ack! I forgot about lunches! You are heroes. I, however, will be more than happy to get back to "normal". :)

After three years of homeschooling, I still appreciate not having to pack Emily's lunch each night and rush her out the door before 9:00 each morning. In two more years she'll return to traditional school for high school. The 8:00 AM start is going to be brutal on all of us!
