Day 8: Democracy. Civic election today, and while I wasn't an educated on the issues as I wish I'd have been, I still feel I made good choices and am happy to be free to make them.
Day 9: That my oldest son is enjoying his gym class more now. It was looking pretty sketchy for the first few weeks.
Day 10: My parents and the incredible sacrifices they've made for me these past 16 months and especially the last 6. I couldn't do this solo mum gig without them.
Day 11: That I had the privilege of watching my 13 month old pick out her own clothes today. :)
Aside from the shirt under the sweater, she chose every piece of this outfit. Not bad, eh?
Day 11 (part 2): Quiet devotions and reading time before bed with my boys. And extra snuggles with my big boy after the littlies were sleeping. Bedtime is usually chaos in this house, so this was very welcome.
Day 12: The miracle of breastmilk.
Day 13: Sunny, crisp fall days, AND my son's exuberant face as he finishes his soccer game.
Day 14: That my kids still think I'm the best cook, even when our cinnamon buns come from a Pillsbury can.
Day 15: A chilly winter, oops, FALL day, so I can get caught up on laundry. (Yes, this actually excites me).
Day 15 (part 2): My 3 year old's sheer delight with the warm air blowing out of the floor vents in every room. Truly a faux-kiwi with his sad lack of knowledge of central heating.
Day 16: Entering my house to the gorgeous smell of beef stewing in my slow cooker. Perfect for a "flurry" day.
Day 17: Waffle Wednesdays.
Day 18: That I had an "extra" card (one I never use) in my wallet today to scrape my icy windshield. I've now bought a real scraper. ;)
And now, I am so very done for the day. More thankfulness to come... ;)

It is always good to be thankful -- and what a great idea to make a conscious effort to do it daily. Keep up the great work!
