Today, I had somewhere to be and was gone from the house about 3.5 hours. That's quite a long time. For me. Silas slept most of the time I was gone. When I got home, Colin said Ethan really missed me. I thought maybe he just said he missed me, because he tends to do that sometimes, but doesn't really get upset. But he was really upset. At one point, he went to Colin and said he really missed Mommy because I was gone so long. And then his eyes all welled up and he just started crying! :*( And then he told his dad that he loves Mommy more than he loves Daddy. Haha. Colin also asked if Ethan misses him that much when he goes to work. The answer? No.
Ah, my sweet, sensitive boy.
Then, later, Ethan asked if there were two drama teachers at Daddy's school. Colin said, actually, there were 3. Ethan asked, "Two boys?" Colin said, "No, there are two girls and one boy, me". And Ethan asked, "What about Alec?" (a friend of ours, also a teacher). Colin says, "Alec teaches English".
There was a pause. Then Ethan asked Colin, "Can you speak 'Drama'?"
He knows there is the English language and he's learning some Maori, so if someone teaches "English", and Daddy teaches "Drama", then Daddy must be able to speak "Drama". LOL
He cracks me up.
