After 6 months of garage sale cast-offs, I decided we needed some real, "grown-up" dishes. I can only afford to buy them one set at a time, but at least now we have 4 matching bowls, plates, side plates and mugs. This is the set I bought:

I quite like them. They have that antique-y kind of look, with some darker, "worn" spots amongst the cream colour. They also come in a really nice green, which I think I'll buy next time they go on sale, so I can mix and match. They look really pretty mixed, as the store display showed. Oh, and I WISH they were the price that link shows. They're double the price here. I bought them at 40% off.
So, I'm very proud of my purchase and it fulfills my desire to have more antique-y looking things in my home.
Colin saw them and rubbed at the dark spots and said, "They look dirty."
*sigh*
Can I strangle him now?
(After the fact, he laughed and said sorry and said they "look fine").
