I'm only half kidding. I've heard that people who move to the opposite hemisphere never quite get used to opposite seasons. My friend, Alison, has been here in NZ (from Scotland) for over 20 years, and she told me once she still thought in terms of "northern" seasons.
The weather is getting chilly here. We seem to have skipped fall altogether and jumped straight into winter, though we do get some very lovely, fall days, with highs around 15-18. But as the weather cools, and we are wearing heavier clothing, jackets, even mittens, I feel we should be nearing Christmas. This week, mandarin oranges have appeared in the grocery stores. And they're SO good!! Small and sweet and perfect. And they epitomize "Christmas". You just don't get mandarins in May.
I'm greatly resisting the urge to pull out the Christmas music. I suppose I can listen to it on my iPod with my headphones and no one will know the difference. Heh.

That's funny about the Christmas music. I've always thought it would be difficult to get used to living in the southern hemisphere.
