Baby weight and Ethan's memory

No, not MY baby weight. We are NOT going there. My actual baby's weight. I had one last appointment with my midwife, Colleen, today. So good to see her one last time. I get very emotionally attached to my midwives, as is normal, I think, for such a momentous time in a woman's life. Anyway, she weighed and measured Silas as well and he's up to 12 lbs and 24.5 inches. So tall! And he's 3 months today. *sigh* Time is going so fast.

And I just had to write a little something about Ethan's memory. He astounds me sometimes with the stuff he seems to pull out of thin air that happened almost TWO YEARS AGO! He was only 2 years old! Most of the New Zealand stuff he talks about is based on our conversations or pictures, but sometimes he comes up with his own stuff. Most of it centers around his friend, Chiara, and her home. Not our home, oddly enough. Yesterday, he said Chiara has a rainbow tent in her bedroom. So, being curious, I e-mailed Chiara's mom, my good friend, Alison, and asked her. And he's right. Chiara most certainly has a rainbow tent in her room. This kid amazes me! And I'm so pleased he has his OWN memories of New Zealand. I hope he keeps them.
