Sometimes I think my heart will just melt away, being mama to these boys. I told Ethan it was Valentine's Day today. He said he wanted to make me a card. I told him he should make it with Daddy, since it's for me. Tonight he made me a card. He had minimal help from Colin. He spelled everything out himself, sounding out the words. Man, I could NOT be prouder of this 5 year old.
On the front of the card there are two little hand-drawn stick people. One is him, one is Silas.
Inside, he drew balloons alongside Colin's hearts and stars. Then, Ethan wrote: "I LOVE YOO! HAPEE VALENTINE'S DEY! ETHAM" (Colin wrote Valentine's). Ethan sounded those words out and spelled them HIMSELF! Oh, and he knows how to do an 'N', but today he decided an 'M' was easier, thus re-naming himself. What a nut! I love you too, sweet boy. I'm unimaginably lucky and blessed to be your mama.
