Wisdom

Lately, I've been praying for wisdom. Not even in regard to anything specific, but wisdom in general. I want the words that I speak, to my children, to my friends, to my family, to be full of God's wisdom. Now, sometimes, I'm gonna have to tell my kids to go clean up their rooms, and it doesn't feel like those words could have a whole lot of godly wisdom in them, but hey, my desire is there.

As I've been praying about it, God has led me to verses about the "fear of God" being connected with wisdom. I have a small understanding of the fear of God. But I feel like I'm coming up terribly short when it comes to a fuller understanding. Do I really know what it means to "fear God"? If I did, wouldn't I be "wiser" in my choices, my actions, my words? Hm, I really don't know the answer.

So, I have "homework" for you, my readers. (Must be the homeschooling mama in me coming out). Tell me what you think the fear of God means? How does one fear God in such a way that they are more and more filled with wisdom? You can share your thoughts with me by leaving comments. I'll blog more about this, too. We can call this our little online Bible study. ;)

Cheers!
