The Armor of God

Eph. 6:10-18

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

For my readers who pray, please pray this scripture with me. The "battle" we (my family) are currently in is a spiritual one. It is the biggest battle I have ever faced as a Christian, and God is doing amazing, transforming things in my heart. The battle is for Colin's heart. And he needs this prayer prayed for him more than ever. Please, if you will, pray these words into his life. Pray for God's restoration and healing and hope. Pray against the enemy's bondage, which threatens to destroy and kill.

The power of God lives in us. That power raised Jesus Christ from the dead. He is bigger than the bondage which is trying to destroy us.

Please pray. That is the ONLY answer. We are truly waging a spiritual fight, there is no question.

The other night, 3 dear sisters in Christ sat with me in my living room, and we prayed and read God's word (wielding the sword!) and sang and it was such a beautiful time in such a dark place. God has entered my home and my heart in a way I haven't let him in years. He has surrounded me with warriors. We are seeing him work. We are seeing the bonds slowly breaking. And so again, I implore more prayer warriors to join the fight. We will stand firm. Satan will fight back, but we know God is stronger and as long as we don't back down, Satan's on the losing end. No question.
