He came fast and furious, as labour only started around 9am. Krista laboured alone until around noon, when Colin came home from school. Our midwife, Colleen, arrived around 1:30, and our secondary midwife, Jill, missed the birth altogether. She arrived at about 3:15. While his baby brother entered the world, Ethan stood in serious silence, taking it all in. Afterwards, he said it was good. We're so happy he was here with us.
Silas is 6lbs, 15oz, and 20 inches long. He has a perfect head of reddish-blonde hair and looks a lot like Daddy. He's a sleepy little guy, and is slowly getting the hang of nursing. We couldn't be more thrilled. Enjoy his first pictures.

Krista - I just checked oyur blog and showed Carter Silas. He saw the picture of the two of you in the birthing poll and he said "Look Mommy they are taking a bath in a fish tub" Carter wants your pool! lol
